Update on Boat Strikes

We’re almost afraid to update this graphic. Every time we do, it seems to trigger another attack. These strikes are still going on, we just aren’t hearing as much about them anymore.

Let’s be clear: Our U.S. military is conducting these attacks in the name of the American people. The people attacked may– or may not– be trafficking drugs, but in either case, they have not been proven guilty, or even charged. We are a lawless nation.

According to the NY Times: “A broad range of legal specialists on the use of lethal force have said that the strikes are illegal extrajudicial killings because the military is not permitted to deliberately target civilians — even suspected criminals — who do not pose an imminent threat of violence.”
