We have a variety of educational and community building events and programs every month. We have split them up by which of our allied organizations hosts each event.

FLXJP Events

People’s Parliament & Community Potluck

Gather to share a meal together, discuss current events, raise concerns, and propose solutions. Each session features a guest speaker and tangible progressive action opportunities. All are welcome to attend any portion they wish. 4th Sundays at St. Mark’s Church.

Monthly Fightback Rally

All are welcome to join us in lifting their voices about the issues and causes that impact our world and the people in it. Bring signs and good will. Each month we feature a different theme. 3rd Saturdays at Yates Court House lawn, 3 p.m.

Regional Justice Summit

Every even month, we bring representatives of regional organizations together via Zoom to discuss justice issues and events in their areas of activity.

Community Resilience

To counter-balance economic uncertainty, climate change, and social upheaval, we meet to learn, discuss, and organize together around community building, skill sharing, and mutual aid.

Keuka Compass Events

Acceptance, Belonging & Community

ABC sessions afford LGBTQ+ people and allies an opportunity to learn more about aspects of our community they may have questions about. Attend in person, or virtually by registering here: https://tinyurl.com/y5zr73zh. 2nd Tuesdays, St. Mark’s Church, 7 p.m.

Keuka Compass LGBTQIA+ Book Club

Each month we select a book that explores LGBTQIA+ themes for discussion.

Pathways Walking Group

This event for members of the LGBTQ+ community and allies, friends, and family provides a chance to enjoy our local trails and nature as well as each other’s company. Please plan to dress appropriately for whatever weather is forecast.

Coffee Hour

These informal coffee hours are intended for LGBTQ+ folks and their allies to come together in community and friendship. Very casual; no agenda – just coffee, food, chat, and company. Please note our new location at Milly’s Pantry!  4th Saturdays at 12:30 p.m.

Game Day

Join us to learn new games, or play an old favorite with other queer folk and/or allies. Feel free to bring a game, bring a friend, or bring snacks; we will have a wonderful selection of each present. Alcoholic and other drinks are available. LyonSmith Brewing Company, 2nd Sundays, 1 p.m.

Annual Community Read

We organize annual “Community Reads” focusing on specific books with group discussions to enhance understanding of issues affecting our communities.

Immigration Awareness

We work to raise awareness
in the community about immigration issues and law and to dispel misinformation.

Immigrant Support

We initiate and support letter writing about immigration issues. We also provide support to migrants in our local community and in the larger community.
