About Us

The Finger Lakes Justice Partnership will help weave together the efforts of the region’s diverse justice-seeking individuals, organizations, and institutions. Rooted in the humble knowledge that we are continually learning, we will seek to coordinate resources and knowledge, respond to acts of injustice, and raise awareness around local threats and opportunities. Through advocacy for members of historically marginalized groups of all kinds, we will help move the Finger Lakes away from passive acquiescence to injustice, and toward an active embrace of anti-racism, community-building, mutual aid, and understanding.

Composed of a Writing Team and a Visual Team; together, creates the weekly Intersection newsletter. The Writing Team submits a column on relevant topics to the Chronicle-Express on a monthly basis, and to other publications on an as-needed basis; contributes written content to FLXJP’s campaigns, projects, social media, and promotional materials as needed; and provides written replies and/or briefs in response to received correspondence and/or local, regional, or national news and events as needed.

The Visual Team composes informational zines, pamphlets, posters, etc., for either virtual or physical distribution, as needed; creates posters, flyers, and other visual promotional material in support of FLXJP’s regular and special events and programs; and contributes to art builds, sign-making, and other visual, creative, and/or artistic design processes in support of FLXJP’s campaigns and projects, or those of other organizations we support.

Plans and executes FLXJP’s wide variety of regular and special actions in support of our mission and values, including rallies, skillshares, trainings, awareness-raising campaigns, etc., as well as activities designed to raise the organization’s profile and recruit more supporters by tabling at events, participating in civic activities, connecting with aligned organizations, etc.

Brainstorms, organizes and executes creative ways to raise money to support FLXJP’s core functions and our ability to support, as able, other organizations and causes we align with.
